The system cannot find the path specified.
Do you wish to continue to attempt to connect to it in the future.

This is all I get and I am stuck with the fustration because I can not find anything out there on resolve this issue. Hopefully one of you guys can help.

Server INFO:
Pentium3 800mhz
512ram
Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
IIS 5.0

Domain Controller is Windows 2003 SB

Thanks.
Norb

You could always try uninstalling and reinstalling IIS. Unless you did something unusual, IIS doesn't try to connect to another server resource to run, even if the IIS server is a member of a domain. IIS normally runs under a local user account, not a domain account.

Otherwise, check all the event viewers and iis logfiles for clues about what is trying to connect to what. And what are you clicking, the IIS service manager in the control panel-administrative tools?

i think i'm having the same problem, according to MS i'm having a DNS issue and when i try to add an xp workstation to a win2k3 domain i'm getting "The system cannot find the path specified."
this one has me stumped, i've updated all the dns entries and dhcp is assigning the right info. did you ever figure out what the problem was???

thanks

Al

Does this question have anything to do with IIS? If yes, please explain what you do to cause the error.

Again, what does adding the computer to the domain have to do with IIS? You need to fully explain your situation and post exact error messages.

Possibly, but since you are unwilling or unable to provide detailed enough information about your situation I can't help. Perhaps you'll be lucky and there are some telepaths hanging out here.
