IIS CGI Setup Issue

Hi,

I’m trying to move an old CGI app developed in Delphi to a new server. Both old and new running IIS 6.0.

I’ve configured both servers in the same way and thoroughly compared the two setups. But the new server is not working with 500 Internal Server Errors.

The CGI application consists of three executable files (for example a.exe, b.exe and c.exe). When I add one of the executables (a.exe) to the server’s IIS extension mappings for the ‘exe’ extension that one CGI script (a.exe) works fine but of course all other calls to b.exe and c.exe will run a.exe.

Adding this exe mapping is the only way I can get the script to run.

Any ideas on what might be missing in the server’s CGI/IIS setup?

Thanks for any help

Maybe you have some permission settings somewhere that are different. And in IE turn off 'show friendly http errors' and maybe you'll get to see the real error message.
