Couple of possabilities spring to mind.
A. Is there enough diskspace free? B. Is your machine infected with codered or one of its varients(they did this) C. Is someone using a remote exploit to do it (is your machine patched & behind a firewall?). Is there anything else running on the server? exchange/project/SQL etc? Displeaser

I haven't run across your error, my guess is something outside of IIS is having a problem. Or perhaps you have some bad code in a site, you could try running sites in isolation mode & see if you can narrow down the problem. Maybe you can set up a perfmon that would help, and look for some more error descriptions somewhere.
A good site for event errors is eventid.com but I believe there is a fee. |
