IIS hangs with ASP but working with HTML
HI,
My site was working well but when I restarted the computer after having a automated virus update, My IIS stopped working with ASP, I've restarted, re-linked with other directories, changed the IP address, and I've tried all the other usual methods. What I've found out so far is that with HTML it is working perfectly, but when I hook on asp, I have problems. First It gave me the error message: 500.2 now the browser is just hanging. Does anyone have any ideas? I'll appreciate any anwers.

Disable your anti-virus software for a minute. If it now works, then turn off Script Checking in your anti-virus software.

This may help
When I have had the same error, the following has worked for me.
Go to the web site properties in IIS and click the "Home Directory" tab Near the bottom of the window there are the application settings, which will be enabled to allow ASP pages to function. Click the "remove" button, wait a few seconds and click the "create" button. What I think happens is when you remove the application it terminates all asp sessions and when you (re)create the application, asp is essentially clear and ready to function. It may also be good practice to alter any anti-virus software to exclude *.asa files. |
