IIS ip address issue (yup i'm a noob)
Q. 1. Currently, I am using <ip address 1> for my website and this IP address is also being used by several other websites on the same server. I don't want someone running my programs on the webpages by mistake, so I would like to establish a different IP address for my website. How do I do that?
Q.2. I do not want anonymous access to this webstie. I would like it restricted to only a few individuals. How to I accomplish this? Thanks, roger |

Start by opening a web browser to http://localhost/iishelp (on the web server computer) and peruse the IIS documentation, all your questions are answered therein.
You need a server OS for multiple websites in IIS with different IP's. Maybe an easier way is get your own IIS computer for your private site. You set the authentication methods used by IIS in the IIS MMC snap-in.
