IIS localhost problem on loadind ASP.NET pages
I have on my notebook WINXP SP2, MSSQL 2000 SP4, IIS 5.1 with .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 installed and I have a problem for 2 weeks now. I cannot run ASP.NET applications. Browser stays on loading a blank page.
What I discovered is that even for classic ASP when I give http://COMPUTERNAME/site works OK but if I try on http://localhost/site then I have a problem. It seems that localhost reads something else. I've removed Server extensions, recalculate web but still there is a problem. I believe that also ASP.NET applications use localhost instead of COMPUTERNAME. I used to work both applications for over 1,5 year and in my office PC I have exactly the same installation with no problem. Any help will be appreciated very very much. Regards Vagelis

If you're running any antivirus script blocking program try turning that off. Also you might try turning off any firewall software for testing purposes.
