IIS looping continuously
Hi,
Had a shutdown due to a power failure yesterday. Everything but IIS seems to be working. Until now, IIS had been working fine. I'm running IIS 5.0 on Win2K Pro, all updates and SP's installed. As soon as I access any web page, even using localhost, and even a simple one-word HTML test page (ie: http://localhost/hello.htm), inetinfo.exe goes into a loop using essentially 100% of CPU according to task manager. I've uninstalled IIS, rebooted, re-installed it, rebooted, but the problem persists. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

have you done scandisk or other diagnostics to test for corruption in your file system? Is there anything useful in the event logs?
There are some free tools at www.sysinternals.com that might help you track down the offending process.
