iis on xp home edition
(wasn't sure if this is in the right forum, and cud not find any help with the search)
unforunatly i only got xp home edition, but i need to run iis, i found the hack for doing so here http://adamv.com/dev/articles/iis-on-xp-home but i can only get as far as part 7 of the tut. i open the add/remove windows components, and the iis is there. but i can not check the box to install the components. any suggestions i've got windows xp home edition sp2. and i got the file's from windows 2000 pro. |

I'm sorry to hear that, get XP Pro and your problems will be solved. I don't support or recommend that you hack your XP Home for IIS.

unfortunatly, i don't have the time r money. need it to test a project i'm workin on.

If all you need to do is have a test web server, download EasyPHP. It comes with apache, and will be set up easily for what you want it to do.
