IIS or DNS problem?
Hello! Currently I feel like I am
I was hoping this great community might be able to offer me some ideas... I currently have a DNS Only account with EASYDNS, and so far it’s been great! However, for some reason my domain name has stopped forwarding to the right IP (or any IP!) When I type in the IP directly I get my current home-page (not setup, but I know it’s mine as I can access my sub-directories on it). 81.86.103.175 However, when I type in my Domain name, I get a ‘cannot be displayed’ error w w w . house-arrest.co.uk I was hoping you might be able to enlighten me as to why this is happening. Have I set the DNS records up wrong? My MX records are fine, as my mail server is working correctly. However, my DNS appears to have spontaneously stopped working. I was doing some server work this weekend, however if my server or Firewall was at fault, surely it wouldn’t work when the IP is typed in directly? When I perform a DNS lookup at DNSstuff.com I get my IP, so I am truly frustrated. Any advice you can offer to narrow down this fault would be very much appreciated. |

Welcome to Dev Shed. I can view the site fine from outside your network. The only thing I noticed was that 1 of your nameservers is not listed at the parent server (domain registrar). ns6.easydns.com .. You may want to add it to the domain registrar and retry... |
