IIS Problems on XP Pro
Hi,
A user on our network has setup IIS on his XP pro workstation. He is able to view the website he created by typing in http://localhost but if he types in his hostname or ip address he cannot access the site. Also the website cannot be accessed anywhere elsr on the local network. Windows firewall is disabled and I am able to telnet to his ip on port 80. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

Look around for some other firewall or blocking software that might be blocking port 80 is the best suggestion I have. If you can view http://localhost then IIS is operating. Have you tried giving a GET from your telnet test and see if you get any html response?
