Hello,
I'm very new to IIS, thus have limited knowledge with it all.. ..I currently have IIS installed on my PC, running XP Pro, and am able to view my ASP website by going to http://localhost/ aswell as http://[my ip here]/ However, I wish to enable others to see my website by going to http://[my ip here]/ but at the moment this doesn't work.. Can you please provide me with basic instructions on how 2 do this.. many thanks Kind Regards J Townsend KXHost CEO |

You have to open any firewalls to allow port 80 to get to your web server. On the internal LAN users can refer to your server by IP, externally you may need to forward your external IP port 80 to your internal web server IP.
In addition many internet providers block port 80.

All firewalls are disabled, and port forwarding has been enabled for my router.
On the IIS Admin window, do i need to set the IP to auto, my lan IP, or my external IP? Thanks Josh |

Except on some servers with multiple independent websites, I've never messed with the default IP setting.
