IIS Resolves to wrong website
I am running two similar websites on IIS (actually they are identical - but different - long story) In any event, these sites connect to two different databases. When one of is stopped it resolves to teh other website.
This will not happen frequently, however, if and when it does it could be trouble in that the users will be entering info into the wrong database. How do I prevent the stopped website from resolving to its twin? BTW: When the twin site is down and the other is up, this does not happen. |

Without knowing how you transfer from one site to the other it's hard to say.
The obvious answer is don't transfer users to the 2nd site, or rework the 2nd site to disable all database inserts & updates.
