IIS6 - POP/SMTP Questions
I just spent the night changing my server over from 2000 to 2003 Web Edition.
I have a few questions. I'm having problems relaying local mail from PHP. I've tried allowing hostnames and server IP's but still nothing. On my phpbb forums I keep getting "Client was not authenticate". Here's a screenshot. Is that the right place to put that? http://2700.us/images/smtp1.jpg Last thing, is there any 3rd party webmail I can use with the new IIS6 POP/SMTP? If I didn't include enough information, just ask... I'm a bit tired this morning. ![]() |

Check relay on default smtp settings
Hi there,
Moving to 2003 means that may previously accesable settings have been more secured. Perhaps check if the relaying on your smtp settings have been disabled, in which case you need to give your 2003 webserver access to relay - only your servers ip should be given this access. Hope it helps and you are not too tired. |
