IIS6 smtp queue buildup
I got windows 2003 std, iis6, the default smtp service installed. pretty much default settings for the smtp stuff (allowing localhost only to send mail).
the problem is every time i try to send mail through it, the message always just dumps into the queue then sits there. i know the server works though because if i restart the server (from the Services control panel only) then it will send one or two messages (which i recieve), then leave the rest in queue again. im not sure what's going wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated. |

ok, some amount of time later, the whole queue got processed dumping like 40 emails into my inbox.
tried sending more mail and they are all going right back into the queue. does smtp service require some kind of random time schedule? i'd like for the processing to be as immediate as possible. |
