IIS6 w/ Isolation Mode - Directory Structure Help
I'm looking for some help with the direcoty structure layout on my new IIS6 installation. I have 6 domains that will be hosted on this particular box.
I understand w/ IIS6 Standard Isolation mode that you must specifiy the base directory from which IIS will look for the LocalUser and then the %username% directory held within. My question / problem is, with my current directory structure for WWW services and the ftp LocalUser\%username% directory structure dont mesh. Uploaded content to the ftp site obviously doesnt land in the WWW services folder for updated web content. I really dont want to have to go back and redesign the entire directory structure so that the WWW services pulls its content from the LocalUser\%username% folder. Is there any other way to configure the ftp site isolation mode to use other directories (already defined) or a method to sync the data from one to the other? I thought possibly a virtual directory would work but it wont... I need some help. Thanks. Code:
WWW Services Directory Structure -> Inetpub\vhosts\domain.com FTP Services Directory Structure -> Inetpub\vhosts\Servers\<FTP IP>\LocalUser\<username> ( I have 10 IP's for which this structure is used.) |
