IIS7 Host Headers not working?
Hi,
I have migrated our classic ASP site to IIS7 Windows 2008.
I added domain.com works fine, then added another binding www.domain.com , so far so good, 'browse' from the right hand menu works fine.
I then added another binding test.domain.com, it refuses to work?
I just get 404 - File or directory not found. ?
Why, there is no different between www and test they are both sub domains added as hosts in the same way using the bindings option.
So why won't additonal bindings work for a website that is working?
EDIT -> OK the host company sent me on a bum steer, it isn't working at all, i thought the right hand browse was viewing internal website, it isn't so of course the www and non-www is working, DNS still points to old server.
So basially IIS7 is refusing to run anything with any extension other than HTML?
Cheers,
1DMF
