Invalid request (Bad Hostname)

I get this error when trying to request a certificate via web. Stand-alone certificate services installed, IIS 6.0 server 2003. I have tried http://ip_address/certsrv, http://servername/certsrv, and http://domain_name/certsrv with no luck!

Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Hi,

Are you accessing this server behind Proxy or Firewall.

In IE go to internet options and under connections tab click on Lan settings and make sure you checked bypass proxy for local addressess.

Also try browsing that certsrv folder from IIS manager. Right click that folder in IIS manager and choose browse.
