Java Applet won't work
Ok, I created a new projet visual studio .net and in doing so, placed a simple java applet in the code. (exactly the same applet as seen at www.hhenningsen.com) When I open in the browser (IE 6.0) it tell me applet I get an error in the status bar which reads "Applet Lake notinited" BUT, when I just browse to the file and open it from the hard drive, it works fine. I should mention that the site on IIS is a virtual directory if that matters...

This sounds more like a problem in the client computer, not IIS.
Is Java installed on the client? Due to recent court action between Sun & MS, MS doesn't distribute the Java Virtual Machine any longer.
