Like Mysteries? Try this server headache!
Ok, I am a web designer and don't know that much about server administration. That being said, I have my site(s) hosted by a small outfit from Iowa. THey are very, very good but a recent issue has my server admin and me puzzled. They recently relocated my site to a 3rd party vendor who is running Windows server. Here is the issue. I work with FrontPage and it seems that when I am connected to the site and make a change to an existing page, the change is not reflected in the browser at all, and yes, I am refreshing. Then, if I go back to FP and change the file name, then change it back to the original name, when I go back to the browser, the change I made is there. What in the world in happening here?

It sounds like there is some proxy server in the path that's caching improperly.

Doug, I called my server admin guy and he asked if I could inquire from you as to how he would determine if there is a proxy server? Recall that he is having it hosted at a 3rd party... Thanks Doug

Well, I'd say check with the server admin but I guess that won't work
![]() Someone at the ISP must know how their network is configured. And remember this is just a wild guess ![]() |

hmmm... your own browser could be caching the pages, and resources ... try clearing ur cache, cookies, and history in your own webbrowser.. then try again
