missing WWW publishing service

I am a newbie towards win2k server configuration. After installing IIS, I cannot find the WWW publishing service:

a) From the following:
Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Services and Applications -> Services

The WWW Publishing Service does not exist.

b) In contrast, I can find the FTP publishing service.

1) What do I need to install in order to have such service?
2) Is there any good installation guide to explain the procedures to install/configure a server?

Thank you in advance.

Check you installation, the World Wide Web Publishing service shoud be present and started automatically.

Also, IIS is installed by default on W2K Server, but not on W2K Pro. What did you do to further install IIS?

To configure IIS:

1.) Click on "Start" -> "Programs" -> "Administrative Tools" -> "Internet Services Manager".

2.) Navigate to a website (there may be more than one), in the left pane, right-click on it, and choose "Properties".

3.) Click through the various tabs to see all the settings and controls.

Regards,
