Multiple websites
Hey this is my first post so be nice.
I already have one website running on my server but I would like to be able to host other sites also. Can you guys direct me to a step by step instruction on how to set that up.. from pointing the domain name to where to setting up the DNS to configuring IIS or if you geniuses can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Most information that I've found on google are 1.) not helpful 2.) does not work. Most articles I've found usually only talk about IIS side using host headers, which I understand, but leaves out the domain and dns parts of the chain. My current setup: 1 Win2k Server running IIS 5 1 Win2k Server as my DNS Thanks in advance |

I don't have any step by step. Easiest I think is to run the 2nd website on it's own IP, or use host headers if you only have one IP. Register your domain name, add the nameserver to the registration record, add the zone to the DNS server, open any firewalls to pass HTTP traffic.
