Need a IIS EXPERT - Event ID: 16 problem
I'm sure no one here knows about this or knows how to fix it, but its worth a try.
I need expert help from wherever I can hope to get it. I have two boxes a Live and a Test box w/ the same features- ActiveState perl, both running Windows2000 Server, same MySQL versions, and same modules. Previously a month ago a script of mine was working fine on both the LIVE box and the Test box. Also the script is still working fine on the Test box. But now on the LIVE box, when trying to run the script it stalls the whole entire live box!!?! I viewed my event log and it gives me this: Event ID: 16 Source : W3SVC The script started from the URL '/my/script/path' with parameters '' has not responded within the configured timeout period. The HTTP server is terminating the script. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp. ------------------ This problem is destroying my work and I may actually get fired because I can't fix it. -- I tried reinstalling IIS reinstalling perl installed ActivePerl to see if that would help it - nope. reinstalling mysql reinstalling the modules i'm using (DBI) and now I'm stumped. I also looked everywhere in the Microsoft Knowledge base, and theres nothing about this problem....I mean NOTHIN! ![]() Also I looked on the web and still have no real solutions to this problem. Anyone here that has ever experienced this problem before please help! Thank you, Anthony Last edited by bobby11 : January 16th, 2004 at 08:30 PM. |

Has anything changed? Service packs, patches, hot fixes, etc? Can you pinpoint when this began to error out? If so, can you roll back to that time in point?
Also, search here: http://www.kbalertz.com/technology.aspx?tec=85&pNo=8 ...

If it's a bug it's a php bug, not an IIS bug.
