octet error when browsing with firefox. please help.
I have developed a website but I cannot open it with firefox. When I try the URL in FF I receive a dialog box with the following message:
you have chosen to open which is a: application/octet-stream from http://macrosynch.com what should firefox do with this file? open with save to disk Does anyone have any clue? How can I avoid causing this error in my website? Thank you in advance. |

This is a browser issue, not IIS.
You probably have some ActiveX or other object in your web page code. Firefox and other non-IE browsers can't use ActiveX.

Let me rephrase. I suspect there is a problem with your web content or programming, not with the web server that is serving up your web.
