Page cannot be displayed when using NT Challenge/Response
Hi,
I have a simple HTML site (no ASP scripts) that I want to protect using the Windows NT Challenge Response Authentication, because it contains critical information. The problem I'm having is that if I use the Basic Method it shows the page perfectly, but this won't do because users logged into our domain are asked their logging information everytime they access the site. And when I use NTLM they get a "Page cnnot be displayed" message. The folder where the Page is has the everyone group with full control and the iusr_<computer> account set to no access. On ISS The box for Challenge Response is checked and the Anonymous & Basic are unchecked. I'm using my own network accoutn which has the rights to log on locally & access from the network from the user manager for domains enabled. Did I do something incorrectly? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance. |

Try using a different group than Everyone. That group may include the IUSR_ account.
