Page not found?
Pretty basic question. New server running Win2K3. Installed FP server extensions 2002 for administration, then published a web site to a local web shared folder.
Now the problem is the web is not visable via local host or internal IP. Clicking 'browse' on the web site in IIS returns page not found error, yet I can go to the direct .htm locations in explorer and they pages are perfect. I am pretty new with this, and I have looked around alot but at this point have no answer. Anyone know what's going on? HELP! |

It sounds to me like your virtual directory isn't set up properly in IIS, or IIS itself isn't running right.
You should be able to open the server's browser to http://localhost/mypage.html and receive the page via IIS.

Page not found?
Quote:
I've encountered this error... and I have resolved it by following these steps: 1) Open IIS Manager, expand the master server node (that is, the Servername node), and then select the Web service extensions node. 2) In the right pane of IIS Manager, right-click the extension that you want to enable. In this example, this is Active Server Pages. 3) Click to select the Allow check box. |
