Permission denied on NTFS

Hi,

Recently I got my system formatted to NTFS (initially on FAT32). I tried to install the same web application (which requires to write in a text file) on IIS on the newly formatted system. Now when I try to access the website it throws a "Permission Denied" error. I tried giving permissions but in vain.

Can any of my friends out there kindly help me in configuring this application on NTFS.

Regards,
Amit

Have you given the internet account (IUSR_computername) write permissions to the text file?

You need to give this user read permissions on anything in your wwwroot folder. If you have scripts which need to write to certain directories or files, you also need to give write permissions to these locations.

Got it fix. I gave this usser permission to write to the folder also. It's just that i did not see the sharing tab my folder because on the general folder the simple file sharing is checked. I unchecked it, and now it's working. Thanks.
