PHP files ask for authentication
for some reason PHP files ask for authentication :-/ I want people to access them without iis ( 5.0 win2k advance server) asking for user authentication, asp's work just fine in the same directory and so do regular files

Somewhere in your php installation you don't have proper permissions. IIS operates as IUSR_computername when processing anonymous web surfers, make sure this user account has permission to the php folder.
