port 80 closed?
Hi,
My port 80 was closed. i called my ISP they said we do not close port 80. Then I hooked up to same ISP to different router and different computer it was open. So they were right. Now after 5 days I reboot my computer my site is down. I checked port 80 is closed on this machine too. I don't know why my computers are closing port 80 while it is open from ISP. Any ideas? Thanks

This really isn't an IIS issue. Some other firewall software, port 80 isn't forwarded correctly through your router, something like that.

There is no fire wall in between. And even if I take the router out and connect straight through modem still port 80 is closed. I ran the virus test too ....... |

Have you checked your IIS configuration to make sure it's listening on port 80? The default setting is to allow port 80, so unless you changed something in the IIS management console this shouldn't be the problem. What OS?

If you are running Windows XP w/ SP2 check your Windows Firewall settings.
