Problems With Localhost W2K3 IIS6
Good Day,
I have a Windows 2003 server with IIS 6 installed. The installation went fine with no errors. The problem I'm having is when I'm on the server in the IIS manager and right click on the default web site to browse I get a TCP_Err screen. When I open a browser on the server and try to open either the web site by servername, ipaddress or by localhost I'm keying http://servername or http://localhost the browser changes to http://www.servername.com or http://www.localhost.com then comes back with the TCP Error. I have open a browser from my local machine and tried the website and get prompted for a username and password. I have anonymous access enabled for the site also gave the iusr account full permissions for the time being, but still get prompted. When I put in my nt username and password the website will come up. I have searched the internet the last couple days, but have not been able to fine and information that might help.
Thanks in advance for any help
