Exclamation Problems With Nortan

I recently upgraded my nortan to the 2005 version and Now my IIS 6.0 dont work. I cant open it at all it just runs the hour glass for a sec then dont do anything. Then when I try to go to local host is says connection refused. Does anyone have any experience with this type of problem like what Options I should change to make it work or what else it could be? Thanks

I don't know about IIS6, but other versions of IIS sometimes didn't like firewall upgrades and would stick in the "starting" state in the services list.

The fix then was to stop IIS and set it to a manual startup, then reboot the computer and after everything finishes starting up, then go back to services and start IIS. Your firewall then should popup something asking if you want to allow IIS to accept connections.

I found on google many other people were having the same problems with no solutions really so I just ended up uninstalling it and going back to nortan 2003. The think you mentioned I dont think woulda worked either cause I couldnt even open the iis menu to stop it. Thanks though
