I really goofed FP up bad. I have went in to add/remove programs and uninstalled FP. Rebooted and went back in and reinstalled it, but it keeps finding its old settings.
I NEED TO REMOVE 100% OF FP AND NOT LEAVE A TRACE OF IT ON THIS SERVER. How can I do this? I am running Win2003 Server w/ iis6 and FP Ext 2002. When a client who has frontpage ext installed logsin they get: "The Server sent a responce which FrontPage could not parse. If you are trying to connect to a FrongPage server, check with the server's administrator to make sure the FrontPage server extensions are installed properly." How can I check to see if they are install properly? I can see that this domain has sever ext installed... Thanks... Matt |

In the IIS mmc console navigate to the web and choose to remove the FP extensions from that website.

Ok... I did that before, but I tried it again. It removes without giving me any errors. I reinstall the ext on this website with no erros, but I can't login via frontpage. When I click the "Site Administration" link... I get page can't be displayed... Thanks... Matt ![]() |

So what is the actual error message? Turn off "show friendly http errors" in IE.

Enter Valid: USERNAME & PASSWORD [Enter] I Receive: "The server sent a response which FrontPage could not parse. If you are trying to connect to a FrontPage sever, check with the server's administrator to make sure the FtontPage server extensions are installed properly." It will not let you log in to this website.... matt |

I don't know how to fix Frontpage server extensions other than uninstalling them and reinstalling them. There are some frontpage oriented sites like www.frontpagewebmaster.com that might have more info for you.
