Restricting IIS to just local computer
Hi,
I have XP Pro and use IIS to test and develop websites just on my computer. I do not want other users to access my test server when I am connected to the internet. Please could you tell me how I do this, as I have discovered that the IP restriction function is not available in the XP Pro version of IIS! Many thanks. |

Can you configure the host header for the XP Pro version of IIS? If you can, would setting the host header value to localhost prevent others from accessing your server?

One can also use Windows ICF ( With Windows XP SP2 ) and block access of IIS for external users.
Thanks
