secure and non-secure pages?
Hi all:
I just started using my first SSL certificate. It is applied to an entire domain. How do I have some pages on a domain use the SSL/HTTPS and others not (regular HTTP)? Any help is greatly appreciated. Regards, Jay |

Nope. I've only heard the chirp of the crickets...

Can't you just change the https for http in whatever page you are viewing?

No, the entire site knows the certificate is attached, and if the 's' is missing, any page will throw an error.

Is port 80 setup for the non-secured access? Also, have you tried right-clicking the files and selecting Properties and in the Directory Security tab editing the secure communications section so that secure communications are not required?

Select the site on the IIS admin tool and click security. Click the server certificate options and take OFF the "require" option for the secure communications.
You can now go individually to a directory, and apply it to it (folder=directory). You can do this for files as well. |
