Something like mod_rewrite...

I'm such a newbie I don't even know if this quesiton makes sense. I need php and mysql for the site that I'm building, but a buddy of mine is setting things up on a IIS server.

Does IIS have something similar to mod_rewrite for URL's? I'm going to have a journal/articles section so I need to have clean URL's without variables being passed in the string.

Thanks for any help!
