Stop windows login win from popping up on site.
Hi,
I have an ASP website. I have created a NTFS group account to contain all the domain users who can access this site. The users have been added to this group. I have set the NTFS permissions to read permissions for this group on the directory under which IIS is installed to(in windows explorer). In IIS Manager I have set this directory for my asp site to a virtual directory and set the security to Integrated authentication. When a user accesses the URL of the website a windows net working logon on appears. If they enter their username, password and domain it loads the page and works. How do I set up my site properly so that automatic authentication occurs without a network login window or having to provide the login and save password checkbox in the dialogue window. I had this working on another site and tried to re-create the NTFS permissions and site setting exactly as the other machine but I'm still getting a windows popup. thanks Chris |

If you haven't restarted IIS since changing the authentication mode, try restarting IIS. Otherwise, review the changes you made in the IIS console, and if you retained the anonymous access mode you could try adding the IUSR_ account to the user group.
