Strange SMTP behavior
Hi, I am trying to send an email as a text message to my cell phone from a c++ code. My code can connect to my local IIS SMTP server and successfully send to a normal email address (i.e. xxxx@xxx.edu). But when I try to have it send to my phones "email" address (i.e. xxx-xxx-xxxx@messaging.nextel.com), the message just sits in my queue.
What is the difference between the two cases? |

Dont put the dashes, for example: 1234567891@messaging.nextel.com

yes, I don't (I guess I just put them in the post to be more clear).
However, as another test, last night I set up a gmail account and tried to send to that. They just sat in the queue. So they successfully send to my school address, but not my phone or gmail. I am off campus, and not hooked into the school's network in any way. |
