Unable to access localhost
I am unable to access localhost from my laptop. I am using Windows 2000 and IIS 5.0.
1. I stop/star/reboot IIS 2. Check the default setting 3. One of the message posted talks about adaware affecting IIS. I reinstalled adware as they suggested. However, I am still having the same problem. I am not sure how adware will affect IIS. Any suggestions Thank you!!! Kazzz |

What kind of err. msg are you getting in your browser. Its not only adawares? Do you have Anti-Virus? Firewalls? You need to turn those all off, restart IIS, turn on your AV/Firewalls and let those programs know that its ok to access Localhost. If that doesnt work, uninstall IIS. Reboot m/c, make sure u turn off your AV/Firewalls before re-installing IIS. Do so, check if IIS is working and if it is, turn your AV/Firewalls on and repeat the steps above I mentioned.
Goodluck.. |
