Unable To Remove Inetpub After IIS Removal
Hello,
Doe's anyone know how to remove the "Inetpub" folder once IIS is removed from Windows XP Professional? I have tried many areas of research for this solution including google and microsoft i have yet to find anything to apease this problem.Any suggestions would help. Thanks. IROOT |

Open windows explorer.
Navigate to InetPub. Select InetPub. Right click and choose Delete.

Hi,
If you are not able to delete Inetpub folder - Try renaming that folder if it still shows error then you will need to reboot the computer in Safe mode and rename C:\inetpub and c:\windows\system32\inetsrv folder. Once you successfully do that then reboot the box in normal mode and install IIS again. HTH. Ganesh Anekar |

Can someone tell me what the inetpub folder is and what it does. I just noticed that recently it is on my computer and I don't know why.
