I am not able to send any mails using the SMTP virtual server. Whatever mail I try sending gets queued up.
Any solutions?? |

SMTP default port is 25, this port is usually blocked by ISP's for personla accounts for stoping spams. usualy there is no work around this. |

It seems I have this scenario where my Admin Dept have blocked port 25.
(my company has an external mail server where we access mail via the Internet) So can I now not issues emails from the applications that I create? Tryst

If port 25 is blocked you can't send smtp traffic. You may need to get a different email component that you can set up to use your ISP smtp server.

The thing is, i'm not trying to use my company's external SMTP Server. I just simply need to create emails (Perl script) and then send them (SMTP Service through IIS) to a mail account outside of the company walls so that I can pick it up. When you say different email component, what exactly do you mean/have in mind? Thanks Tryst |
