Question using IIS on a Pocket PC?

Hi Guys,

I have a set of asp pages running on our intranet using IIS, SQL and Access databases.

A couple of these databases would be really useful on my colleague's PDA's. Is it possible to use them on a Pocket PC?

I'm thinking of copying the databases, reformatting the asp pages for the smaller screen size - the hitch is getting IIS on the PDA. Any ideas?

Database size is not a problem as I'm only intending to convert the simple standalone bits rather than the whole intranet!

Thnkas

Richard

I've never heard of IIS on a PDA, but that doesn't mean it's not possible

Have read around a bit more and ....

We can get SQL on a PPC and also a cut down VBscript so I suppose I simply need to convert my asp pages to work as client side scripts - ie change the asp to htm and swap <% %> to <script></script> Would also need to change server commands to document commands ... probably not the right way of putting it but I hope you know what I mean!

My original post was a hope that I could copy my asp pages to PPC localhost with very few changes - just me being lazy I guess!

Found it !!!!

Here is the ideal app for me ..... Pocket ASP and some interesting posts http://builder.com.com/5208-6377-0....=143918&start=0

I should point out that I'm not an full time IT person, I just do a few pages for our company intranet. So whilst a C+ or eVB app would more efficient in terms of computing, it would waste my time learning a new language when I could be doing my proper job earning fees for my employer.
