is it possible to have virtual hosts with iis 5.1 on windows xp professional?

No, you can only have the one website with IIS on XP Pro. To have more than one website, you need Windows 2000 or 2003 server.

although i managed to find an interesting article on how it's possible on xp pro. Multiple IIS Virtual Servers on XP Pro the problem is that there is currently a bug with asp.net application belonging in the root web, you're unable to add new pages through visual studio. so i've gone back to the single virtual host. there ain't no better way than learning through your mistakes. g |
