Web Stress Test Tool
Can anybody recommend a good
Web Stress Test Tool? I'd like to simulate multiple browsers requests and watch CPU and other stuff on our Windows 2000 server. |

Back in the NT4.0 days MS offered a free stress tool, perhaps it's still around for newer versions of IIS. Search the MS site.

Web Stress Test Tool - PAESSLER
I already installed an evaluation copy of
PAESSLER. So far it looks good. The only disadvantage is that you are limited to 10 simaltenious users connection in evaluation version. So I can't "really" stress the server. I can only see in Performance Monitor that it works and Web Service counter "Current Anonymous Users" in fact does increase. The funny thing I just realized. What if a bad guy uses this tool? He can sterss the web server constantly? Hmm? |
