Why do IIS logs shows 192.168.0.x for c-ip
I see quite a few of these logs daily. Not sure where the 192.168.0.x address is coming from as none of our servers has this address range. Also this server is not a public facing webserver, but our public facing webserver does communicate with this webserver and our SQL backend. We are running IIS 6 on Windows 2003. Here is a sample log. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Probably an internal client computer address that is routed or tunneled to your lan. It's not an IIS issue, IIS is doing it's job logging the requests.

We don't have any internal client computer. I'm the only one who is able to access the datacenter and I connect through VPN and I wasn't logged in at those times.

OK. Maybe it's a spoofed http packet. But even if that's the case, it's not an IIS issue.
