Write permission issue
I am trying to get a crystal report from another server to be allowed to write into a csv file in our Windows 2003 IIS web server. Both servers are in the same Intranet network. We gave the Crystal report account full control, write, read into the IIS directory and it keeps failing. The only security setting not given for the Crystal Report account in the IIS directory is the special permission.

Each time the Crystal report account tries to write into the IIS directory it doesnt work and responds: "access denied".

Please advise.

Is IIS somehow involved in this? Your description sounds like you're having a problem with an application on a different server writing to a folder on your web server, and that wouldn't be an IIS issue.

If it helps, keep in mind IIS typically runs under a local computer account, not a domain account.
