    PHP Prompt for Password

    Hello-

I just upgraded my server to one using IIS 6. I have tried my best to get PHP to work as an ISAPI module, however, whenever I navigate to a PHP page, the server asks for a username and password. Nothing works, not even my admin! How do I disable this?

IIS normally operates as the IUSR_computername or IWAM_computername user. Make sure these user accounts have sufficient permissions to the php code and any php directories.

Hopefully someone who actually runs PHP on windows will know what you need.

If you have access to the server try opening the folder(s) in windows explorer, open the properties page then the security tab and make sure the IUSR_ and IWAM_ user accounts are on the permissions list.
