Authentication Window Popup
Hi. I have a Windows Server 2003 box with IIS 6.0. For one of my sites, I have authentication turned off (set to public site). Integrated Windows Authentication is turned off, and Anonymous Access is enabled. However, I keep getting the authentication window. If I dismiss it 3 times, the page continues to load, until i go to a new page, where I need to go through the process again. I have tried several accounts, one on administrator account at the dialog, and nothing works. Any ideas? Thanks. P.S. - This occurs both with SSL on and off.

Try making a new virtual directory in the IIS manager, put a html page there and see if the page renders properly. Probably the anonymous IIS user account doesn't have any permissions to the root web

Check with these options:
-> Make sure your site in active from the IIS.
-> propagate web user permissions again for your site.
Once the permissions is assigned properly, your issue should be resolved.
