    Apache Tomcat - CSS

    Hi all,

    With all the below settings, the text from the html is not changed, because the emp.css is not refered during runtime. Is there anything to do with the web.xml to add this css ? Or if I am missing something, or if you need more details please do let me know.

    web.xml
    Code:
        <servlet>
            <servlet-name>GetEmpDet</servlet-name>
            <servlet-class>GetEmpDet</servlet-class>
        </servlet>
        <servlet-mapping>
            <servlet-name>GetEmpDet</servlet-name>
            <url-pattern>/servlet/GetEmpDet</url-pattern>
        </servlet-mapping>
    Physical location
    Code:
    C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\Shan-servlets\WEB-INF\classes
    URL
    Code:
    http://localhost:8080/Shan-servlets/servlet/GetEmpDet?alpha=U&col=5
    From the output html
    Code:
    <h4>Employee Details</h4>
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="emp.css">
    <body>
    The above css i placed in the following folder
    Code:
    C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\Shan-servlets
    Thanks
    Sath

    No, it is nothing to do with apache or web.xml, but the directory the files are served from. Ask in the java forum.
