Connection Pooling of Database in JSP
I am working on a tool with JSP front end, and MS Access as the database....
there are 12 JSPs... and each of them functionally do similar things... connect to the same database, access data, show it, and then disconnect from the Database.
However, i find that since each page individually connects to the database and then at the end disconnects, the performance can be improved by connecting just once, and maintaining the connection throughout the session... and disconnecting from the database at the time of invalidating the session.
Is there some way this can be achieved >

Poolman ( http://www.codestudio.com/ ) or others are the solution.
Could you please report on your experience, if you happen to use it?

I havent yet tried out PoolMan... But thanks a million for the tip
I will try it out... and let you know... for the timebeing it seems to be the solution. And one more thing, the no. of JSPs have gone up from 12 to 344 and the RDBMS now is Oracle 8i containing 3445 MB of data in compressed form. Now the problem is getting more and more severe. Also since there are more than 200 users logging in every hour or so, performance tuning has become mandatory !!
