I m new to EJB and XML.I would like if somebody could help me by giving me the names of the books covering EJB as well as XML. Futhermore which Application server is the best for EJB?? thanx in anticipation amit

You should go for apache + tomcat + jboss (opensource)
or macromedia jrun + pws/iis if you prefer
