Look at www.webpipe.net for

bandwidth 1GB /month
disk space 50MB
JSP, mysql or postgresql

it'll cost you $18.00 / mos

If you want to learn, why not run your servlets on your local machine? The free Sun JSDK (download somewhere at http://java.sun.com) includes a servletrunner that you can use. Or install a webserver on your PC.
The benefit is that you can see all logfiles (plus you learn a thing or two about how to setup a servlet environment :-) )

Success, Ton
